From Mark Norris:
The ballroom burst into cheers when the first results started trickling in. McCain has a 10 point lead over Mitt Romney with only 7 percent of the tallies in. The folks here know that size of a lead likely won't last, but are excited to see their candidate doing so well. The McCain campaign is doing everything to get a repeat of their 2000 victory. The press badges have "The Mac is Back" and the event is in the same ballroom McCain used in 2000 when he toppled then Gov. George W. Bush.

From Mark Norris:
I am settled in here inside the ballroom of the Nashua Crowne Plaza hotel. This is the site of the John McCain campaign and its supporters to watch the results come in. The big screens have Fox News on (of course!) and there is free wireless for the press. But the ballroom is small. The ballrooms I had prom and homecoming dances in were bigger than this one. My camera position is five feet away from one of two confetti cannons they are going to fire off after McCain finishes speaking. I've already had two staffers kindly warn me that I will need to get out of the way - or else get blasted and go temporarily deaf. I think I'll heed their warnings...

Mark and I are pulling into Manchester to check out some polling places. It is so warm up here today. I feel like I'm in Dallas minus the four feet of snow on the sides of the streets. We will update you later. As of right now, we are going to hear the Edwards speak to their volunteers and set up at John McCain's primary party. Ann Wyatt
